Thank you for your interest in Spirit Hawk, Inc. ("Spirit Hawk"). We are established as a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) corporation. Located at 985 SE Sheridan Road on Highway 18 close to Sheridan, Oregon, Spirit Hawk offers a location like no other in our area. Fronted by 1,000 feet of highway frontage, and bordered by 1,000 feet of river frontage, this location offers a great commercial setting. We offer over 8.4 acres that are commercially zoned for new development and are located within the Urban Growth Boundary. There is an existing building of approximately 7,500 square feet that is being considered for leasing. It will house the new fine art gallery as well as the new grill specializing in buffalo meat products. There will be a trading post and a meeting/gathering room as well as beautifully landscaped yards and river frontage suitable for multiple activities.

Spirit Hawk is dedicated to becoming a central place for the various Native Americans in the Northwest. It is anticipated that Spirit Hawk will host gatherings from many tribes, powwows, teepee camping, social outings, and much more.

We are dedicated to reviving the cultural heritage of the Native American. Much has been lost over the years and educational programs will be established in order to educate the student. Our goal is to provide economic opportunities for the Native American through educational, social, cultural, artistic, and retail developments.

The enclosed Executive Summary forms an outline for the different activities that are proposed for Spirit Hawk. It is not meant to be complete, but offers a beginning point for our communication.

Our proposed nonprofit status would allow for tax deductions for contributions (check with your accountant and/or tax advisor). We anticipate funding through grants and other individual and corporate contributions. Your support is greatly needed. We are presently seeking start-up funding in order to complete some of the preliminary aspects associated with the creation of the new business. Some of these preliminary needs include the leases, utilities, sign painting (we have a large billboard available for lease to us), remodeling, consulting fees, legal fees, internet fees, internet web site fees, labor and materials, and other required start-up expenses. We anticipate your support.

David Stefan, Executive Director

P.S. Please help us to complete our goal of providing economic opportunities for the Native American through educational, social, cultural, artistic, and retail developments.
